Get super soft skin with Soap & Glory

SOAP & GLORY The Righteous Butter - Review

I am a big fan of creams, scrubs, moisturisers and other skincare bits and bobs. I have a box full to the brim with a lot of different skincare products by a number of different brands. I'm not one of those people who buys a new pot once the old is finished, I just keep buying more and more! A friend bought me this for my birthday last year and I only just found it again recently. I totally forgot about it in the bottom on my beauty box. Oops.

Apart from the 'Hand Food' this is the only Soap & Glory product I have tried. It is 'The Righteous Butter' with softening shea butter and aloe vera. I am pretty sure that the one I have is a travel size pot as it is only 50ml and I can find one online which is 300ml. The product is very thick and I wasn't expecting it to soak into my skin easily but I was surprised to see that it did soak in very well within a few minutes. It isn't the kind of moisturiser that you have to sit about to wait on it drying in before pulling your clothes on. There are other brands that I don't buy as they are extremely greasy on the skin but this honestly isn't. I can see it being very good for dry patches especially around the wrists and elbows as my skin feels silky smooth after applying it.

I love the smell of this body butter, Soap & Glory calls it their signature Original Pink fragrance and the smell stays on the skin for hours. Possibly because of this, it isn't a body moisturiser that I would wear everyday because the smell is so strong. However, it is isn't unpleasant and it is great for a weekend treat!

Cost-wise I am unsure if the Soap & Glory 'Righteous Butter' is reasonably priced. The 300ml pot is £10.50 which can be a bit expensive depending on what your budget is! The price wouldn't put me off though as a little bit of cream goes a long way and it will last longer if I only use it on the driest areas of my skin like around my wrist and elbows.

Another product that I would like to try is the Soap & Glory 'Butter Yourself' Body Cream which from what I can gather from online reviews, is a more fruity and fresh fragrance with a hint of peppermint. I may treat myself once I gather up my Boots Advantage points!
