Jack Wills Lip Balm Trio Review

Jack Wills Lip Balm Trio Review

When I think of Jack Wills I think along the lines of branded hoodies and joggers, not beauty products and makeup brushes! So of course it was a nice surprise to see these beauties and just as any curious person would do, I decided to give them a try. I 'purchased' these in Boots on Boxing Day and I say 'purchased' because I actually got them with my advantage card points. Yay free Christmas present from me to me along with a few Ted Baker sets. If you haven't got an Advantage card yet I highly recommend you do, save up your points all year and have splurge at Christmas time. It's just delightful.

Anyway, it is just ridiculous the amount of lip balms I own. That's lip balms, not including lipsticks etc.  I counted 12 half used Vaseline tins in my makeup case last week alone. I seem to like to open one, use it once and throw it aside. HOW BAD IS THAT? I'm being good with these beauties though, the only one I have tried is the berry one as I am trying out a new tactic, to not be so wasteful and finish one completely before opening another. This will go well.

Jack Wills Lip Balm Trio Review

In the tin the balm is raspberry pink in colour but when it is applied it goes on clear. They have quite a creamy consistency which I like as I feel that it is more moisturising. That's possibly why I keep tossing my Vaseline tins aside. I'm not a huge fan of lip balms that have a oily texture, yuck. As for staying power I feel like the balm stays on for a good amount of time. To compare to Vaseline again, that just seems to disappear on my lips whereas these Jack Wills lip balms stay on well and definitely work as far as keep chapped lips at bay-goes.

To be honest, I'm not sure if I will like the rose one or not. That smell just reminds me of grannies perfume! But putting the actual product aside, even if I wasn't a fan of the balm themselves I just couldn't deny the packaging, I'm a sucker for it! I just love the pink and navy colour combo and the Wills branding. I also got a beaut makeup brush set which came in the little zipped case and I must say, I am impressed with all of those but one. There is always one, but I can deal with that!

No doubt Jack Wills will have something similar in a giftset this Christmas too, keep an eye out in your local Boots! In the mean time have a little nosy here at all of Jack's bits n' bobs. You know you want to.

Thank you for reading and do let me know what you think of this little trio if you own it on Twitter @thefashionsix - I'd love to hear from you!

  1. I do love the packaging of these - and as lip balms go they sound pretty decent!
