Makeup & Skincare Reviews (empties!)

Goodness I LOVE a good empties post and I must say I think it's a good 'un this time... I have loved every single one of these products and I have repurchased them all already. Well, I couldn't be without could I? Everything seems to run out at once then I need to go on a bit of a Boots haul to gather it all up again!

1) Garnier Simply Essentials Vitamin-Enriched Toner

This product was actually bought by accident, I meant to lift the Simple toner but this ended up home with me instead. I have no idea how because the Simple one is green and this is so obviously blue. I think it's about time I booked an appointment with Specsavers! In saying that, it really didn't disappoint. I have always love the Simple toner but this one was just a bit different, It has such a nice 'cooling' effect on the face so it's an absolute treat to apply at night after you take off all your makeup. I have no idea what else to say about it other than just that! It does exactly what it says on the.. err... bottle? and it smells amazing too. Win win.

2) bareMinerals READY SPF 20 Foundation

If you are looking for a medium-full coverage foundation that's light on the skin and easy to apply then this product is definitely for you. I purchased this from the QVC website as I got bored of my makeup routine and fancied a change. I had heard so many great reports about bareMinerals and I had already tried the loose powder version so it was only natural that I would try this! It goes on so easily and has that perfect finish that liquid makeup gives. It's great for days when I can't be bothered or when I'm in a rush! It's that good that I have already ordered and received another one. It's good to keep up the stock levels! The only downside of the READY foundation is that it's a bit pricey and it doesn't last as long as other products I've tried. I can't say that this is enough to put me off though.

3) Revlon ColorStay Makeup

You know you love a product when you have been purchasing it from the age of.... 15! This was my very first foundation 'back in the day' and 8 years later I'm still buying it. I honestly don't know what I'd do if Revlon brought it off the shelves, I'd have to protest or something. This makeup creates such a flawless finish and it is great for day or night. It doesn't go shiny and the colour range is great, you are bound to find a shade that you are happy with. At £12.49 it's a great dupe for MAC Studio Fix (which I think is a tad overrated and has a nasty smell!)

4) bareMinerals PRIME TIME Foundation Primer

I got this little tube in my bareMinerals starter pack so don't worry it isn't £21 for a tube of this size! The ACTUAL product is 30ml (I have also seen a few large sizes online too) and it lasts a heck of a lot longer. I have tried some awful primers in the past, some just do not work and others are so thick you can see the thick film even when foundation is applied! Prime Time is a clear gel which feels so smooth on the skin. It is also fast drying and you can apply your make-up straight after application. I liked it that much I had to repurchase it. 30mls doesn't sound like a lot but you only need a small amount of this and it goes a really long way. I have a full review of Prime Time here if you wish to find out more!

5) Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

This is one of those products that had a huge hype around it when it was first released and since I have read LOADS of reviews on it online I had to try it myself. I actually got it when Boots had their 3 for 2 offer on so this was my 'free' gift as it were. To be honest I wasn't expecting big things from this as I had tried loads of concealers before and none of them did anything for me. I am VERY glad to say that I was wrong! This product is particularly great for under your eyes to hide dark circles without it 'caking' and falling into the lines on your face. I really do not want to look 10 years older than I actually am! haha. I liked this concealer so much that I asked a few of you on Twitter what the verdict on the foundation was. I was surprised to find that the majority didn't like the foundation at all and there was one person who said it made their face look shimmery! So not a good look eh? I'm still in two minds wether to try the foundation or not so let me know your thoughts in the comments section or tweet me @thefashionsix!

I am glad to say that all 5 of these products has been repurchased numerous times much to the dismay of my bank account! Well, at least I'm taking advantage of the 3 for 2 offer in Boots and grabbing 3 Wake me Up's at once....
